What is your current role?
I am currently a staff Pathologist at Jupiter Medical Center.

What is the best part of your occupation? 
I enjoy complex cases, the collegial environment, and a cool part of the state.

How did you become interested in pathology?
My best friend and colleague got accepted into pathology residency at a time I was still searching for a specialty to pursue. He was gracious enough to open the doors for me into the world of pathology; I stepped in and never looked back.

How did you become involved with the FSP?
Dr. Carmen Gomez's mentorship and Dr. Tony Martinez's guidance.

Explain how you benefit from being a member of FSP?
Educational opportunities, network expansion, and professional development.

What would you like to see occur in the field of pathology (i.e., scientific advances, greater awareness of the field, etc.) during your career?
Faster and broader adaptation of digital pathology.

What are your hobbies outside of the office?
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (currently a blue belt), animal flow/movement, and strongman.

What is something surprising that most people do not know about you?
Despite my hair bun, I'm actually not Puerto Rican.
