In Memory of Former FSP Member, Gene N. Herbek, MD, FCAP

We have learned of the recent passing of former FSP member and friend Gene N. Herbek, MD, FCAP. Dr. Herbek was  board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology with over 40 years of practice experience in surgical and clinical pathology. He was a dedicated pathologist, named as CAP's 2016 Pathologist of the year and serving as CAP president from 2013-2015. Dr. Herbek was a supporter of the FSP as a member of the society from 2007-2019 and a loyal attendee of many of FSP's educational conferences. He will be sorely missed and our deepest condolensces are with Dr. Herbek's family during this time.
