FSP Welcomes New Board Members

The Florida Society of Pathologists is pleased to welcome two new members to the Board of Directors effective February 17, 2018. Dr. Adrian Padurean of Fort Myers, Florida and Dr. Patricia Moody McNab of Tampa, Florida were appointed as At-Large Members of the Board by the FSP membership during the Annual Business Meeting on Saturday, February 17 held in conjunction with the FSP’s 44th Annual Anatomic Pathology Conference in Orlando, Florida. In addition, the FSP membership reappointed the following At-Large Members for an additional two-year term effective until February 2020: Marilyn Bui, MD, PhD, Carmen Gomez-Fernandez, MD, Oleskandr Kryvenko, MD and Marino Leon, MD.  For the full list of your FSP leadership please visit the website here.

Get to know our new Board Members:

Patricia Moody McNab, MD

 Dr. McNab completed her Dermatopathology fellowship training at UTMB, Galveston Texas and a surgical pathology fellowship at Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa. Dr. McNab has been serving many dermatology practices both locally and   internationally and has developed a solid reputation for excellent quality and service. She has given several lectures and is actively involved with meetings and updating dermatologists with the newest and latest changes in Dermatopathology.   Dr. McNab has several printed manuscripts related to dermatology via research. Dr. McNab also has experience in gynecological, genitourinary, breast, and gastrointestinal.

 

Adrian Padurean, MD, MBA

 Dr. Adrian Padurean received his medical degree from Institutul de Medicina in Timisoara, Romania. He conducted medical research in the field of cardiovascular biology at Massachusetts General Hospital/Harvard Medical School and Mount   Sinai Medical Center, New York. Subsequently, he completed his pathology residency at Regions Hospital in St. Paul, Minnesota and hematopathology fellowship training at the University of Minnesota. Dr. Padurean has served with distinction in   numerous positions of importance in the clinical and academic service arenas, including Assistant Professor at University of Minnesota Medical School in Minneapolis, Minnesota; Staff Pathologist at VA Medical Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota;   and Staff Pathologist/Hematopathologist and Director of Hematology Laboratories of Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Dr. Padurean is board certified in Anatomic Pathology, Clinical Pathology, and Hematopathology by   the American Board of Pathology. He earned an MBA in Healthcare Administration from the Quinlan School of Business at Loyola University Chicago.
