The FSP hosted its 46th Annual Pathology Conference on February 14 to February 16, 2020 in Orlando, Florida at the Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort . Over 230 pathologists and 43 exhibitors joined us for a fun-filled and educationally packed weekend. The conference featured new breakout sessions on read slide sessions featuring additional pathology topics and innovative sessions on digital pathology as well as an informative lecture on Physician Wellness.

FSP joined more than 50 county medical and specialty societies across the state in the formation of the Florida Patient Protection Coalition

This Session has been challenging for organized medicine with House Speaker Jose Oliva's primary focus on expanding scope of practice for advanced practice registered nurses.

The FSP's 46th Annual Pathology Conference took place on February 14-16 in Orlando, Florida where over 40 posters were on display in the FSP Digital Poster Hall.

The FSP has chosen three resident authors to present Platform Presentations at the FSP's Annual Pathology Conference on Saturday, February 15.

This month we are excited to feature Emily Volk, MD, who has been a Corresponding Member of the FSP since 2017. She has been a member of the College of American Pathologists and served on the Board of Governors since 2013. Dr. Volk was recently elected President-Elect for CAP this past September.

The FSP Nominating Committee recommends four At-Large Board Members for a two year term from February 2020-February 2022.

Dr. Cantrell currently serves as the Chair of the FSP’s Legislative Committee and is an At-Large Member of the FSP Board of Directors. He currently serves as Chief of Pathology at Ascension Health in Jacksonville, FL.

This month we are excited to feature Adrian Padurean, MD, who has been a member since 2017. Dr. Padurean has attended all FSP Annual Conferences since joining the society and most recently volunteered to serve as Mentor in the FSP Mentorship Program. He currently serves as Medical Director of Clinical Affairs at NeoGenomics Laboratories Inc.

This month we are excited to feature Kritika Krishnamurthy, MD, who has been a member since 2017 and is very active within the society. Recently, Dr. Krishnamurthy was nominated to serve on the newly developed FSP Resident and Fellow Committee. Dr. Krishnamurthy currently serves in the Hematopathology Rotation at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach, Florida.
