This month we are delighted to feature Elizabeth Anne Montgomery, MD. Dr. Montgomery recently moved to the state of Florida  and has joined the University of Miami. Dr. Montgomery was a featured speaker at the virtual edition of the FSP's Annual Pathology Conference in February. 

The American Board of Pathology (ABPath) is pleased to announce the appointment of Qihui “Jim” Zhai to the ABPath’s Test Development and Advisory Committee (TDAC) for Anatomic Pathology for 2021. The TDACs are responsible for developing and reviewing the ABPath certification exam questions that assess and certify a physician’s education, knowledge, experience, and skills in order to provide high quality care in the pathology profession.

A message from Florida Society of Pathologists President Qihui "Jim" Zhai, MD, FCAP on the impact of FSP's advocacy efforts and why it is so vital to be a member of the FSP.

In October, the FSP shared news with members that the class action settlement between Palmetto Pathology Services P.A. and UHC was reached with favorable terms to Florida pathologists securing payment from UHC for all past and future PC-CP Medicaid claims. The Settlement was approved by the Court on February 14, 2021.

The FSP announced the winners of the FSP Poster Competition on Sunday, February 14 during the annual business meeting. Over 30 posters were submitted for inclusion on the Poster Competition from residents and fellows from across the state of Florida.

The FSP welcomes new leadership after the annual business meeting on Sunday, February 14.
