FSP Attends Florida Medical Association

The Florida Society of Pathologists attended the 2021 Florida Medical Association Annual Meeting and House of Delegates on July 29 through August 1 in Orlando, Florida. The FSP has 3 seats to the delegation. FSP delegates in attendance included Marilyn Bui, MD, PhD, Harvey Feld, MD and Janice McCall, MD.

FSP's 2021 Summer Pathology Conference Highlights

The Florida Society of Pathologists hosted its Summer Pathology Conference on July 17-18, 2021 in Palm Beach at the Eau Palm Beach Resort & Spa. This was FSP’s first meeting back in-person after a long 16+ months due to the pandemic. The FSP welcomed over 110 attendees from all over the state of Florida and across the country as well as 20+ sponsors who graciously supported the FSP’s efforts to host the summer conference.

Update on Cigna Policy on Professional Component for Clinical Pathology

Informal announcement has been made by Cigna that they intend to reverse the proposed policy update and will continue to make payments for the professional component of clinical pathology.
